The caracters are in the woods. A child sleeping. There is no noise and they don't know what day it is..

Just two perceptions of time: "He trought the month was October but he wasn't sure" ; "Tolling in the silence (...) and the hours and the days"

The apocalypse is like: "In the dark" ; "Night dark beyon darkness and the days more gray" ; "The first gray light" ; "Where lay a black and ancient lake" ; "In the woods" ...

We have seen the trailer entitled The Road

There is a small segment of the market where sales are surprisingly strong. A growing number of Americans are preparind for the end of the world as we know it. They believe the end is near and so they are preparing buying bunkers properties with high tech amenities.

Summary: In this video it's the end of the civilisation. The poeple are in a desert not far from Los Angeles. The people who are preparing for the end of the world have high tech amenities. So it's the war between the survival.

We have seen a passage of War of the Worlds

In this passage we have seen two parents and on child in their house. They are placed around the radio, it's a message of the attack of Marcians. They are terrified but actually it's only a joke, a game because today is Halloween..

What do you think about people who wrongly believe in the End of the World?

I think it's ridiculous because people live in the future. They spend their time to building their future in a world that will never exist. More, they spend all their money in useless building. They haven't got social life, relashion ship, not enough money to go in holidays... Sometimes, these people moved in other city or in other country. They no think about consequences as the education of their childrens. So, in conclusion, I think these people lost any notion to real life. 

The decade of the 1950s found the American people in a period of change. 

In a 1950s people there was no computer, no mobile phone... Not many women worked. The music and fashion were really different. 

 The customs were a bit diffenrent: 

- Education: Black and White separated

-1950 clothes: blouse and skirt, long dress..

-Music and Idols: Jazz, Rock'n Roll with Elvis Presley, Frankie Avalon was an actor and a singer very famous, Ricky Nelson...

In 1950s, on TV, was brodcoast series with perfect families. These families were models for all families in United State. They are best, without problems, without fight between the childrens.. 

In conclusion, of the imrpovement of the economy many American people experienced greater prosperity than ever before. The increase in population (baby boomers), the automobile, the televison, the advent of suburbia, the theater, film radio, music, fashion, and many other areas of American life were all evidence of the change in American's lifestyle.

Today, we live in a society of consommation. People spend crazy bucks for news technologies, clothes.. For fun! 

They think "Money can't buy hapiness" ! 

In addition, the advertising push peole to spend their money.

Anti consumerism campaign:

The French short film uses all sorts of logos brands to represent the characters and scenery. It features a chase between the police, represented by the Michelin brand and the gangster, R.MacDonald. He tooks two childrens in hostage and an earthquake occurs and the city was destroyed. 

In my opinion, this short film represente the excessive consumption of people. We want to show us that consumption sometimes causes damage (but in this video is greatly exaggerated). 

I liked the performance and interpretation of some pretty funny characters. The script is short but effective in its way of getting the message "consumption is destroying our world".

Slogans for campaign about consumption:

-"I shop therefor I am"

-"To be addicted to consumption it's like to be in prison"

-"I buy you"

-"I want you to shop"

Sometimes, consumption is like a prison. People depend on their purchases and can not do whitout. People get crazy during the sales, they are even able to sleep in front of a shop to be the first day after. A Christmas as people rush to buy in stores. But they do not realize they are doing a needless waste. The number of tons of plastic discardedeach year is huge and because of that pollution increases and poor countries are overwhelmed by poverty and waste...

This video is a TV report who speaks about Freegans.

Freegan: A community of food hunters

To go dumpster diving: it means searching for food or foraging

Homeless: people living in the streets

Wastes: trash or garbage

To toss out: to throw away

A non profit: a charity

To dig through: to forage for

Rotten: in a state of putrefaction

Questions:

What's a freegans?

It's a community of food hunters.

Why do they do that?

They do that to stop wastes and to give this food to poor people or the homeless.

Why do you think about it?

I think it's a good thing because many people haven't got enough money to buy food and I find it unfortunate to waste food even clean and not rotten.  

In this video, there are two men in a Elevator. They search the button but... There isn't! It's the new technology! And they hate that. They want to go in the "Eleven" and so, they say "Eleven", "Eleeven", "ELEVEN, ELEVEN", "ELEEEEVEN, ELEVEEEEN, ELEEEEVEN!!!!!!" with all the accent! But the elevator meets: "Could you please repeat that?" and the men say "ElevIn, ELEVIN" . The elevator asked to stay calm but it's not possible for them. "EL-EV-EN!" They become ridiculous and suddenly the door opens! Haha it's very funny.

In fact, technology is not always so good!
